1. Ravens are among the smartest of all birds, and are able to solve increasingly complicated problems. 2. Common Ravens can imitate the calls of other bird species. They are even known to mimic human words when raised in captivity. 3. Throughout history, Common Ravens were seen as signs of evil in many different European cultures. 4. Ravens can live in a variety of habitats, from cold areas to deserts and forests. They are omnivores and are therefore able to find food almost anywhere. 5. These birds can live for a long time. In the wild they are known to live for about 17 years, and in captivity their livespan can reach up to 40 years!
