Did you know?

1. The American Kestrel is the smallest falcon in North America, weighing only about 120 grams. 2. The American Kestrel can live in a very diverse range of habitats, ranging from the arctic cirlce to the tropics of Central America. 3. They are often called 'the most beautifully coloured raptor'. 4. The males and females look very different from each other. Males have blue-ish wings, while those of the females are reddish brown. 5. American Kestrels often hunt with the whole family. This gives young birds the opportunity to practice before having to survive on their own.
